(5) Master’s programme

With a focus on the pedagogical profession and its professional fields within the framework of teaching and research according to international standards, the PH NÖ offers the Master’s programme to obtain a teaching qualification at the primary level; if they have completed the corresponding specialisation in the Bachelor’s programme, they are also qualified for primary schools with a special focus (e.g. inclusive pedagogy). Completion of the specialisation Inclusion creates community in the bachelor’s programme for teaching qualification at the primary level qualifies the student to teach in all school and teaching forms at the primary level, including special schools.

The Master’s programme to obtain a teaching qualification for the primary level comprises a workload of 60 ECTS-CP with a duration of at least two semesters. The recommended course of study can be seen in the course structure. The courses to be completed are shown in the course overview in the 5th year of study.

When choosing a specialisation (e.g. inclusive pedagogy: Broadening the age range; inclusive pedagogy: Increased need for support; specialisation in German, specialisation in mathematics, specialisation in English) to the Master’s programme, the workload increases by 30 ECTS-CP and the duration by one semester.
