CRAFT

What does our vision of an alternative, desirable future look like?

In the CRAFT chapter, we want to make it visible.

Our sketches from the IMAGINE chapter guide us along the way. We use them to plan the steps needed to turn our vision into reality, find solutions to problems, consider possible consequences, identify ethical principles and values, make adjustments, and give shape to our vision of the future.

To bring our vision to life, we choose a creative form of expression—a project outline or sketchnote poster, a photo essay or role play, a comic or theatre piece, a video or podcast, an interview or board game, a dance performance or visual search-and-find picture—or other forms of storytelling using different media.

The CRAFT chapter takes shape through a creative process that also involves careful and consistent planning. The final product develops step by step, through cycles of feedback and revision, until we are ready to share it with others.

The Futures Stories Lab is part of the research and development project "Learning Future, Teaching Futures". This project is funded by the Province of Lower Austria, Department of Science and Research. Project duration: 1/10/2024–30/9/2027.
