Aim
The aim of this course is to provide students with qualified skills for methodical and practical implementation in snow sports lessons as well as a critical and reflective examination of snow sports topics and their networking in practice. The focus here is primarily on teaching alpine and Nordic skiing to beginners and planning multi-sport winter sports days or winter sports weeks.

- Methodical-didactic lesson organisation (including group management and supervision) with consideration of playful forms of practice in snow sports
- The Austrian snow sports teaching path
- English specialised vocabulary for the instruction of snow sports games
- Specialised teaching and movement theory
- Equipment and equipment science
- Safety and hazard awareness (risk management in the snow), special first aid
- Organisation and design of multi-sport winter sports days/weeks from an inclusive perspective

- can transfer specialised knowledge and skills of snow sports to competent teaching
- are able to assess the performance level of learners in snow sports lessons at basic and advanced levels
- are able to develop specific hazard and risk awareness in the snow and can implement first aid measures
- can demonstrate and develop their own skills on the basis of the respective Austrian teaching methods for snow sports
- can develop and demonstrate playful forms of exercise and competitive situations in snow sports
- can adapt a versatile repertoire of snow sports movements to a wide range of needs
- are able to make appropriate decisions for group leadership, organisational and regulatory frameworks
- can plan, organise and design one-day and multi-day school events in the field of snow sports
- are able to assess and evaluate the needs of children with different learning requirements in relation to snow sports and can organise their lessons adaptively
- can develop ideas for projects in the snow from an interdisciplinary perspective and implement them in the language of instruction and in content-integrated CLIL lessons
