Aim
Students learn about the diversity of language registers and the key function of language in educational processes and are familiar with and able to teach subject-specific learning content in different teaching subjects in a language-aware and language-sensitive manner. They recognise the importance of methodical–didactic concepts for the development of educational language as well as specialised languages and the living foreign language English as a subject as well as in its content-integrative form. In doing so, they take into account the promotion of special linguistic talents as well as creative forms of learning.

- can use their basic knowledge in giftedness and talent education as well as in creativity research for the processes of linguistic development
- are able to reflect on results from giftedness and talent research as well as from creativity research
- are familiar with the difference between everyday languages, educational languages, and technical languages
- are familiar with a variety of methods for individualised linguistic support both in the language of instruction and in the living foreign language English in interdisciplinary contexts
- can analyse teaching sequences with regard to their practical teaching activity
- are familiar with didactic models for the design of language sensitive teaching in mathematics and the natural sciences
- are familiar with didactic models for the design of language sensitive art and craft lessons both in the language of instruction and in the living foreign language English
- can use these findings with regard to the self-acting planning and implementation of teaching units
- are familiar with methods of intercomprehension didactics and reflect on them in an interdisciplinary context.
