Focus
The future requires shared responsibility
Aim
Nature and technology penetrate and shape all areas of human life. The focus of this course is to teach students analytical thinking and the understanding of scientific principles and processes, as well as to initiate understanding processes through problem-solving, communicating and reflecting on natural sciences. Based on the students' previous knowledge, didactic principles and methods are taught using the reference sciences of biology, chemistry and physics in the context of the Anthropocene.
Content
- Deepening basic biological, chemical and physical knowledge by examining specialist literature
- Planning, conducting and evaluating experiments based on the formation and testing of hypotheses
- Research, presentation and age-appropriate explanation and communication of scientific and technical content
- Effects of scientific activity using examples from everyday life and nature in the context of child-friendly economic and consumer education in the Anthropocene
- Growing demands for space and mobility in a globalized and digitalized society, the associated use of resources and their effects on nature
- Communicating causal connections between the use of fossil and renewable energy sources and climate change in the context of the Anthropocene
- Linguistic and methodological-didactic means for implementing content-integrative scientific and technical lessons and English lessons at primary level (CLIL)
