Aim
Students further expand their knowledge of the diversity of language registers and the key function of language in educational processes and are able to convey subject-specific learning content in various subjects in a language-conscious and language-sensitive manner. They expand their repertoire of methodological and didactic concepts for the development and expansion of educational language as well as specialised languages and the living foreign language English as a subject and in its content-integrative form. In doing so, they take into account the promotion of special linguistic talents as well as creative forms of learning.

- Everyday language, educational language, technical language: consolidation
- Variety of methods for individualised language support in all areas of learning
- Planning and designing language-sensitive lessons in maths and subject teaching as well as in music, art and design, technology and design
- Intercomprehension and metacognitive strategies to promote language awareness in the STEM subjects and in the creative subjects
- Didactic and methodological concepts for activity-based foreign language teaching in English
- Creative aspects in the promotion of linguistic talents and potentials

The graduates ...
- deepen their knowledge of the diversity of language registers (everyday language, educational language and specialised language)
- know a variety of methods for individualised language support both in the language of instruction and in English as a living foreign language in interdisciplinary contexts
- can analyse teaching sequences with regard to their practical teaching activities
- are familiar with didactic models for designing language-sensitive, inclusive, intercultural and interreligious lessons in maths and science, music, art and design, technology and design, including in English as a living foreign language
- can use these findings with regard to the independent planning and implementation of teaching units
- know methods of intercomprehension didactics and reflect on these in an interdisciplinary context
- can use their basic knowledge of gifted and talented education and creativity research for the processes of language development
- are able to reflect on results from gifted and talented education research and creativity research
