Aim

Students further expand their knowledge of the diversity of language registers and the key function of language in educational processes and are able to convey subject-specific learning content in various subjects in a language-conscious and language-sensitive manner. They expand their repertoire of methodological and didactic concepts for the development and expansion of educational language as well as specialised languages and the living foreign language English as a subject and in its content-integrative form. In doing so, they take into account the promotion of special linguistic talents as well as creative forms of learning.

  • Everyday language, educational language, technical language: consolidation
  • Variety of methods for individualised language support in all areas of learning
  • Planning and designing language-sensitive lessons in maths and subject teaching as well as in music, art and design, technology and design
  • Intercomprehension and metacognitive strategies to promote language awareness in the STEM subjects and in the creative subjects
  • Didactic and methodological concepts for activity-based foreign language teaching in English
  • Creative aspects in the promotion of linguistic talents and potentials
