- Planning and implementation of project lessons (practical project) on selected scientific-technical topics (teaching practice)
- Exemplary experimental investigation of natural phenomena and practice of scientific working methods and approaches to children’s explorative–discovering learning in general studies (teaching practice)
- Selection of suitable media, taking into account heterogeneity and individualisation (teaching practice)
- Theory-based reflection of scientific learning programmes

- are able to design a practical project that addresses a factual teaching phenomenon in an age- and developmentally appropriate, gender-sensitive learning setting using the methods of research-based learning
- are familiar with relevant experimental situations and take this knowledge into account when developing cognitively activating learning environments for practice
- can make a targeted selection of media to illustrate central contents or create these themselves
- can plan, design, and reflect on school teaching practice, taking into account heterogeneity and individualisation (teaching practice)
- are familiar with the importance of subject didactic research results on general studies for the
school practice
- can distinguish scientific concepts from everyday concepts and contrast children’s everyday concepts with scientific concepts
- are familiar with learners’ conceptions of scientific concepts and can recognise and solve learning difficulties resulting from these
- are able to explain scientific facts, taking into account the prior understanding of learners (teaching practice)
- recognise relevant experimental situations as learning situations and take this knowledge into account in
the development of cognitively activating learning environments for practical teaching use (teaching practice).
