Visit from Concordia Educampus Ploiești
From 27 to 28 May, we welcomed guests from the Concordia Educampus Ploiești to the University of Education Lower Austria.
The collaboration with the educational institution near Bucharest has been in place for over a year and facilitates ongoing international dialogue on current issues in teacher training and educational challenges, as well as a wealth of experience-sharing.
The programme for the visit was organised by Johannes Dammerer, Birgit Draxler and Verena Ziegler. The focus of this meeting was on professional exchange regarding mathematics in primary education. Prof. Sabine Apfler gave the guests an insight into the Austrian primary school mathematics curriculum and enabled them to attend a lesson.
Further items on the programme included discussions between the delegation, led by Concordia’s Vice Director, Nicoleta Golai Vinatoru, and Vice-Principal Edda Polz, as well as school visits to Enzersdorf an der Fischa Primary School and Schwadorf Secondary School. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to both schools for their openness and for giving our guests an insight into school life.
The visit has further strengthened our successful collaboration and generated numerous new ideas and inspiration for future joint projects.
