Aim

Art and communication form the basis for visual cognitive spaces. Examples are selected from the flood of visual phenomena of the present and past, and their pictorial quality is perceived and reflected upon. Through personal aesthetic resonance experiences in receptive and artistic practice, students find their individual path to aesthetic modes of expression and effect, image functions and concepts.

  • Confrontation with art and communication
  • Looking at visual phenomena of the past and present
  • Dimensions of the concept of the image and its location in the curriculum and in primary didactics
  • Examination of visual designs in art history, contemporary art, the analogue and digital media and consumer world
  • Recognising one's own subjective aesthetic perception and its impact on cognitive processes as well as possible intersubjectivity
  • In-depth, artistic-aesthetic further development of the personal focus of interest with didactic realisation
