Aim
Teachers are empowered to (also) digitally enable language education by effectively using a wide variety of digital media in language teaching and by using digital resources to increase the communicative language skills of the learners. They provide efficiently designed digital learning environments.
Content
- Use of digital learning resources for language-sensitive teaching
- Accompanying children’s writing processes in a multilingual context and using the resources of word processing programs
- Individual writing support and writing motivation with the inclusion of digital media
- Criteria for the writing and designing different types of texts with the help of a word processing program
- Reception and production of various text types including digital media
- Self-reflective awareness raising in the context of digital media
- Development and consolidation of receptive and productive language skills with the help of digital media in the language of instruction as well as in the living foreign language English

The graduates ...
- are familiar with digital learning resources and take them into account when planning and designing language-sensitive and content-integrative (foreign language) lessons
- use their knowledge of current methods of process-oriented didactics of writing for beneficial differentiation possibilities with the inclusion of digital media
- are familiar with the criteria for the writing and designing of different types of texts with the help of word processing program
- can accompany children’s writing processes in a multilingual context and use the resources of word processing programmes and internet-based communication tools for this purpose
- can formulate speaking and writing tasks - using digital media - that motivate speaking/writing and contribute to the promotion of communication skills
- can assess the use of digital media in a differentiation-sensitive way and reflect on the results in a criterion-led way.
