Aim
Digital media is an important resource for the tasks of learning coaching. Close to the pupils’ lifeworld, their use allows both a better understanding of the needs of the learners and an individual planning and documentation of learning processes. This requires the skills to critically select digital diagnostic programmes and evidence-based support material, to use them efficiently, and to compile and adapt them according to needs.

- Digital testing and screening tools
- Use of digital tools to document learning progress
- Criteria for evaluating digital apps and internet-based applications
- Use of mobile devices for promotion, individualisation, and cooperation
- Realisation of individual, self-guided learning processes with digital media
- Creation and presentation of digital support materials for specific support areas (e.g. supporting giftedness)
- Digital communication possibilities for the dialogue with learners and their parents or educational partners

The graduates ...
- are familiar with a selection of digital test procedures/diagnostic programmes and screening instruments and can apply them
- are able to use digital applications for the efficient documentation of support measures or learning progress
- can analyse digital media and internet-based applications on the basis of selected criteria with regard to differentiated learning processes and select them individually according to the needs of learners
- are familiar with the various possibilities of mobile devices for individualising learning processes and for cooperation between learners and can thus design conducive learning paths
- can independently design and create digital work tools/learning games for the classroom
- are aware of the possibilities, limitations, and legal requirements of digital communication tools and can use them for efficient teacher–pupil–parent communication.
